An object can be modeled in many ways. To understand, express, and represent a tree, one might take a photograph. Or, one might make a sculpture, or a painting, or an abstract mosaic. A philosophy is a model of general truth; different philosophies take different approaches, and everyone's philosophy is subtly unique. This weblog is one of the tools with which I am shaping and developing my philosphy.

Today, I'll build some terms.

"Principle of Assumed Consistency":
When an assumption must be made, assume the unknown data remains consistent with the known data (e.g. if all known apples are red, then assume that all unknown apples are also red).

"Principle of Assumed Exceptions":
When an assumption must be made, assume the unknown data contains exceptions to trends in the known data (e.g. if all known birds fly, then assume that there are unknown birds which do not fly).

"Principle of Infinite Assumptions":
When an assumption can reasonably be made, make it (e.g. if all known dogs have tails, then assume that all unkown dogs also have tails, and that all dogs wag their tails, and that all dogs curl their tails up to poop, and that all animals without tails are not dogs).

"Principle of Unassuming Data":
Assumptions cannot be made, only hard data is known (e.g. if all known toads hop, then assume nothing about unknown toads).

Space and Time

I've postulated the three fundaments of Creation to be Matter, Space, and Time. Tonight I'm considering the latter pair.

I live in Michigan. I have friends in Minnesota who want me to visit; if I were to make this trip I would be crossing from EST to CST on the way there, and from CST to EST on the way back, making for a near-10 hour trip one way and a near-12 hour return trip. Same span of distance, different spans of time. Obviously this makes sense within the context of a sun-based calandar: as I travel West I chase the sun, slowing down the passage of the day; as I travel back East, the sun chases me, speeding up the passage of the day.

If time itself is based on the sun, then travelling West should slow the aging process. "Go West, young man" takes on a new level of meaning. Theoretically, if I can travel East-to-West as fast as the earth rotates West-to-East, it should always be the same time and I will stop aging altogether—or like Superman, I can fly around the world faster than its rotation and actually travel back in time, or at least grow younger myself.

Of course, it is silly to suppose that time is controlled by the earth’s rotation. Time and motion, however, are certainly linked. Einstein’s Relativity suggests that time is elastic—that is to say, it is not constant, but passes fast or slowly relative to…well, relative to what, is the question.

7

Man is built on the number 7.

Color: we perceive light in seven distinct colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.
Applications
Emotion: emotions are traditionally grouped into seven categories.
Chinese Medicine
Jewish Kaballah
Memory and brain function: the number seven is significant in brain structure; for instance, the human brain can recall up to seven digits in one thought.
Vocal learning and birds
MRI and polygraphing
AI development
Sensation:
hearing, imagining?, seeing, SENSING, smelling, tasting, touching.
Sin and virtue: there are seven Cardinal Sins and seven opposing Holy Virtues.
Cardinal Sins
Holy Virtues
Sound: there are seven notes in the diatonic scale.
Time: our understanding of time is based on a seven-day week.

3

3 is the most basic form of order.

God is triune: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God's creation is three-fold: matter, space, and time.

Matter is three-dimensional: positive, negative, neutral.
Space is three-dimensional: width, heighth, depth.
Time is three-dimensional: past, present, future.
